Sonoita/Elgin Wine Tasting Tours
Currently home to the largest concentration of wineries and vineyards in the state of Arizona, the Sonoita/Elgin winegrowing region has been recognized as one of the top ten wine trails in the country by USA Today. With 14 different wineries in the area, each with its own distinct style and flavors, the area is a wine lovers dream.
Let us do the driving so that you can fully appreciate the tastings of each vineyard. Sit back and travel in one of our stretched limousines while enjoying some of the wines from the area and taking in the beautiful scenery. Have fun with friends and let our professional chauffeurs take you from place to place in stylish luxury and safety. Our full day tour is approximately 8 hours and can accommodate up to 8 adults per car. Each car is equipped with wine glasses, ice wells, blu-tooth enabled stereo/CD player, Wi-Fi, and independent A/C. We will pick you up at your home, drive to Sonoita/Elgin, and visit four or five wineries of your choosing. In between, we can set up a picnic of select cheeses, meats, fruit and sandwiches to accompany your favorite selections of wine. Afterwards, relax in the comfort of the limousine as your chauffeur drives you safely back home.

Callaghan Vineyards
Callaghan Vineyards produces rich, complex red and white wines from its 25 acre vineyard. French and Spanish varietals – Tempranillo, Graciano, Mourvedre, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache and Tannat – are the basic building blocks for the red blends, while Viognier, Roussanne and Malvasia Bianca are blended for our estate white wine.
Arizona Hops & Vines
Hops & Vines is a cheeky little winery run by two sisters (Megan and Shannon), with a ton of help from their friends and their many children. It is known for its many and sometimes crazy events, the farm animals that live on-site, its huge outdoor spaces (and patio), and their kids’ miniature business, the Sober Shack.
Sonoita Vineyards
Sonoita Vineyards is the oldest winery in the area, founded by Dr. Gordon Dutt, founder, soil scientist and original winemaker in 1973. Sonoita Vineyards offers an array of award winning wines ranging from crisp and fruity to bold and complex in its large tasting room. They also have a large dining room that accommodates catering, and a large grassy area good for weddings and other events.
Charron Vineyards
Less than 30 minutes from downtown Tucson, Charron Vineyards is the perfect location to enjoy handcrafted Arizona wines and beautiful mountain views from the vineyard tasting room nestled in the Empire Mountains. Enjoy a selection of fine wines including our famous White Merlot from one of the oldest vineyards in Southern Arizona.
Kief-Joshua Vineyards
Kief-Joshua Vineyards’ tasting room offers magnificent views of the beautiful mountain ranges of Sonoita and is the perfect setting to taste their acclaimed wines. Guests take in the warm Italian Gothic ambiance of this elegant setting in Elgin, Arizona in an area that has become known as “winery row.” Visitors taste Kief-Joshua’s Classic Wines at the tasting bar, where new releases such as the Tempranillo, and favorites such as the Sauvignon Blanc, and Zinfandel are available.
Village of Elgin Wines
The Village of Elgin Winery is Arizona’s largest family owned winery and produces nearly 30 different wines each year. Most are small lot wines only available at the winery’s tastingroom in downtown Elgin, Arizona.
Flying Leap
Flying Leap Vineyards is one of Arizona’s newest domestic farm wineries. They offer 14 varietals on two southeastern Arizona vineyards, in Cochise and Santa Cruz counties. Rhone-style red, white, and fortified wines using old world methods are grown in small batches. There are two tasting rooms – one at our estate vineyard & winery in Elgin, and a second in the historic Headquarters Saloon in downtown Willcox. Tours are available by appointment for groups of 8 or more. Guests can learn about the exciting Arizona wine industry!
Lightning Ridge Cellars
Lightning Ridge Cellars offers wines based on the founders’ Italian heritage – classic Italian varietals: Sangiovese, Nebbiolo, Montepulciano, Primitivo, Malvasia and Muscat Canelli. Clay soils, long warm summers, cool nights and an old world style of winemaking provide the perfect combination to produce rich, full-bodied wines. An elegant and intimate setting, including tasting in the barrel room and a bocce court, is ideal for quiet tasting.
Wilhelm Family Vineyards
Wilhelm Vineyards are situated on 20 acres in the beautiful area of Sonoita, Arizona. This high desert mountain plateau south of Tucson enjoys a unique climate, soil and growth season similar the wine growing regions of Rioja, Spain and Rhone areas of France.
